Transcript Requests

 
The New Mexico Higher Education Department is the record holder for transcripts from closed private postsecondary institutions who have turned over student records to the Department. This includes career/technical schools and colleges. In order to increase the efficiency and turn-around time for processing transcript requests, the New Mexico Higher Education Department maintains copies of all transcripts on microfiche. Please note that not all closed institutions have turned over transcripts to the Department. In order to find the name of the institution you are inquiring about, please click on and review the List of Closed Schools. If you locate the school and determine that the New Mexico Higher Education Department holds the student records, please click and complete the Transcript Request Form.

Please note that all fees are non-refundable and may only be submitted as money order or cashier’s check payable to the New Mexico Higher Education Department.
 
Copies of transcripts will only be released by request of the individual whose name appears on the transcript. To release copies of transcripts to other individuals or institutions the request must include a signed release form from the student.
